I am pleased to be able to provide you with the following article published in the most recent Treatment & Recovery Industry Insider magazine. I am selective with the publications for which I write articles for, as I want to make sure they are telling the story of the journey we are all on together as a community and a nation, with integrity and honesty. I believe this magazine is striving to do just that.
Here is a link to the September/October 2015 issue, in which I talk about the ongoing discussion of Patient Brokering within the treatment field.
The attached article from the forthcoming November/December 2015 issue addresses (in my opinion) the massive push by Big Pharma to get as many people hooked on pharmaceutical grade heroin as possible for profit, but without taking responsibility to avoid the inherent addiction which follows.
We have reached that proverbial “tipping point” as a nation where addiction is no longer the disease of others. It affects each and every one of us. And therefore each of us has a personal and moral obligation to do our part to make the treatment industry, the Recovery Residence industry, and the overall healthcare industry more responsive and responsible in this regard.
